— Getting here

How do I get there from Ramsey?

From Ramsey the drive is east on Highway 10, through Anoka and into Coon Rapids, where Coon Rapids Boulevard picks the route up. Round Lake Boulevard runs north off it to Northdale Blvd NW, and we are on Northdale with free parking directly in front of the door. It is one road most of the way, which is the part that matters when you are coming from the far side of Anoka County.

— The long appointment

What is worth driving in from Ramsey for?

The 120 min combination, $260: head spa, then facial, then massage, in that order and in one room. It is the longest appointment on the menu, and it makes one drive do the work of three.

If two hours is more afternoon than you have, the ninety-minute versions do two of the three. Head spa and facial is $185, and the one that follows the scalp work with a full-body massage is $185.

One drive, three treatments

Nothing moves between them. The head spa table, the facial and the massage all happen in the same room, so the two hours run continuously instead of splitting into three appointments with gaps. The scalp work opens it, and the facial and the massage follow.

— Head spa

What happens in a Korean head spa hour?

Four stages, in order. Your scalp is looked at first. Then the cleanse, which is staged rather than one pass. Then exfoliation, to clear the skin around each follicle. Then the massage, which takes the largest share of the hour — and serums, a mask or oils and a blow-dry close it. 60 min, $130, or $152 for longer or thicker hair.

The style came out of Japan and was refined in Korea, and this studio draws on both. Fiona lived in South Korea for about thirteen years and still goes back every year for continuing education — her VoyageMinnesota interview has the rest of it. That is the short answer to why the head spa here is the Korean version rather than a scalp rinse added to a salon menu.

Do not wash your hair first

Arrive with your scalp as it normally is. Washing beforehand hides the thing the therapist is looking at, and your hair is washed during the treatment anyway.

— Planning the trip

How do I make the drive count?

Book the long one, and book it a few days out. The head spa room fills before the rest of the schedule, and a particular therapist or a Saturday slot needs more notice than a Wednesday afternoon.

Mon, Wed–Sat 10 AM–6:30 PM · Sun 10 AM–6:30 PM · Closed Tuesday. The Tuesday closure is worth checking twice before you set off. Book online, or text (763) 317-6018 — the team is often with guests, so a text is answered sooner than a call.

If plans change

We value both your time and ours. Should you need to reschedule or cancel an appointment, please provide a minimum of 24 hours' notice to avoid incurring any charges. Cancellations with 24+ hours' notice are not charged. Late cancellations and no-shows are charged a fee equal to 50% of the total service cost.

— Add-ons

Can I add a massage or a wax to the same visit?

Massage, yes — and it may already be inside the combination you booked. On its own, massage runs $105 for 60 min of relaxation work, $120 for hot stone, $120 for deep tissue, and $145 to $160 for the ninety-minute versions.

Waxing runs $18 to $80, brow tint is $26, brow wax and tint together is $38, and a lash lift is $102 across 70 min. Ask when you book rather than on the day, so the minutes are in the schedule.

All FAQs →

What is a Korean head spa?

+

A Korean head spa is a treatment for the scalp — the skin your hair grows out of. A session moves through deep cleansing to lift oil and product buildup, exfoliation to clear the skin around the follicles, a long scalp massage, and a finish with serums, masks or oils. The style originated in Japan and was refined in Korea, and the two traditions are close enough that most studios — including this one — draw on both.

How long does a head spa take?

+

60 min. Combinations run longer — 90 min when a facial is added, 120 min for head spa, facial and massage together.

Should I wash my hair before I come?

+

No. The scalp is assessed as it normally is, and your hair is washed during the treatment. Arriving freshly washed hides the thing the therapist is trying to see.

Which hair types is a head spa suitable for?

+

Head spa treatments can be customized for many hair and scalp types, including straight, wavy, curly, fine, thick and color-treated hair. Please let us know about recent chemical or color services when booking.

Does booking ask for a deposit?

+

Some treatments hold a therapist and a room for an hour or more, and those ask for a card deposit when you book. The booking screen shows the amount before you confirm. It is not an extra charge — it comes off what you pay on the day.

Do I need an appointment?

+

Yes — this is an appointment-based studio. Book online any time, or text (763) 317-6018; the team may be with guests, so texting usually gets an answer faster than calling. Same-day slots do come up, but the head spa room is the one that fills first, so a few days' notice helps.

What are your hours?

+

Mon, Wed–Sat 10 AM–6:30 PM · Sun 10 AM–6:30 PM · Closed Tuesday. The Tuesday closure is the one people get caught by, so it is worth repeating: the studio is closed all day Tuesday.
